A word about submissions. Please check our About Us page first and ensure that your story or pitch fits in our site vision. We are focused on providing nuance and new angles to online discussions, with fresh perspectives and off-the-wall ideas. We are less focused on recaps or instant reads of what’s going on: it’s just not our niche.
We consider submissions across all genre and media (reporting, fiction, essays, poetry, short film, photography, art, music–just to name a few) that fit within our principles and vision, but please try to keep them under 5,000 words unless the form (novella, etc) dictates. We also consider pitches for stories.
We pay set rates for both accepted submissions and accepted pitches upon publication. Please contact us directly for more information about rates.
